TIPOLOGI DAKWAH WAKIL TALQIN DALAM MENINGKATKAN AMALIYAH IKHWAN DI MADROSAH ASY-SYAKUR KUNINGAN

Abstract

This study examines the typology of da’wah carried out by the Wakil Talqin at Madrasah Asy-Syakur Kuningan from the perspectives of da’wah communication and ṭarīqah spirituality. The focus of the study is directed toward identifying and analyzing seven forms of da’wah practiced by the Wakil Talqin, namely nafsiyah (self-oriented), fardiyah (individual), fi’ah (small group), hizbiyah (large organization), ummah (general public), qabailiyah (inter-tribal), and syu’ubiyah (inter-national) da’wah. This research employed a qualitative approach with a field study method through direct observation and in-depth interviews with KH. Juhendri, S.Pd., as the principal Wakil Talqin. The findings reveal that da’wah practices at Madrasah Asy-Syakur are implemented through spiritual, cultural, and symbolic approaches that are adapted to the characteristics of the mad’u, local values, and the social conditions of the Kuningan community. Although it does not have a formal organizational structure, the madrasah functions as a spiritual raudhah with a broad influence on the guidance of its congregation. Various da’wah activities, such as collective dhikr, manaqiban, and halaqah, serve as media for strengthening religious practices (amaliyah) and enhancing the spiritual awareness of the congregation. The presence of the Wakil Talqin, although not holding direct authority over spiritual purification as exercised by the Syekh Mursyid, remains significant in fostering discipline, building collective spirit, and encouraging istiqamah among the congregation through an empathetic personal approach. Thus, a contextual, inclusive, and persuasive da’wah approach has proven effective in establishing strong spiritual bonds amid the diversity of the congregation
